About the Role

The Lead OEM Solution Engineer is responsible for supporting the success and growth of Hyland's OEM partnerships by driving technical integration, product alignment, and partner enablement. This role serves as a senior technical liaison between Hyland and OEM partners — helping ensure Hyland technologies are effectively integrated, embedded, and positioned within partner solutions.

Working closely with partner engineering teams and Hyland Product, Engineering, Solutions, and Global Alliances teams, the Lead OEM Partner Engineer translates partnership objectives into actionable technical solutions. This individual leads integration execution, provides architectural guidance, supports technical validation, and ensures OEM solutions are technically sound, scalable, and ready for market.

Success in this role requires deep technical expertise, effective cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage multiple partner initiatives while balancing immediate integration needs with long-term partnership objectives.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

• Drive technical execution of OEM integrations — collaborating with OEM engineering teams to design, implement, troubleshoot, and validate integrations involving Hyland technologies, while maintaining a strong understanding of partner architectures, product roadmaps, development priorities, and integration dependencies.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance on integration architectures, APIs, authentication, data exchange, deployment models, and relevant integration patterns — supporting proof-of-concept development, solution validation, and integration testing while evaluating approaches for scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and alignment with Hyland standards.
• Deliver technical onboarding, training, and enablement to OEM partner engineering and technical teams — developing and maintaining technical documentation, integration guides, reference architectures, and reusable technical assets that accelerate partner readiness and deepen platform adoption.
• Collaborate with OEM Partner Managers and Partner Sales teams to ensure solutions are technically ready for customer adoption and go-to-market activities — translating technical integration capabilities into clear solution value propositions and supporting technical discovery, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between OEM partner engineering teams and Hyland Product, Engineering, Solutions, and Global Alliances stakeholders — establishing clear communication, ownership, and accountability for technical deliverables, integration milestones, and issue resolution across matrixed teams.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and improve OEM integration patterns, implementation practices, and technical documentation — capturing lessons learned, developing reusable technical assets, and driving continuous improvement of partner onboarding, integration execution, and ongoing technical support processes.

Role Essentials

• 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, solution engineering, technical partnerships, systems integration, or a related technical role — with demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or supporting software integrations between enterprise platforms and partner applications.
• Strong understanding of APIs, RESTful services, authentication and authorization, cloud platforms, and common integration patterns — with the ability to interpret technical requirements, evaluate integration approaches, troubleshoot issues, and communicate recommended solutions.
• Experience collaborating with product management, software engineering, architecture, and external partner technical teams — with the ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed organization while independently driving technical deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple integration initiatives, competing priorities, and technical dependencies — with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage technical and nontechnical stakeholders effectively.
• Experience creating technical documentation, architecture diagrams, integration guides, or other reusable technical resources — with a strong commitment to engineering quality, consistency, and scalable integration practices.

What We'd Like to See

• Experience supporting OEM, ISV, technology alliance, or embedded software partnerships — with a strong track record of driving technical integration execution and partner enablement in a complex enterprise software environment.
• Familiarity with enterprise content management, content services, document management, workflow automation, or intelligent document processing — providing a strong foundation for understanding Hyland product capabilities and OEM integration opportunities.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, SDKs, webhooks, event-driven integrations, or middleware — with familiarity with enterprise software deployment models, including cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Experience supporting joint solution development, technical validation, or partner-led customer implementations — with the ability to translate technical integration capabilities into clear solution value propositions and practical customer use cases.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a technical evangelist — identifying opportunities for partners to expand their use of platform technologies and create additional value through deeper adoption and strategic platform integration.

Pay Transparency

The base salary compensation range for this role is $155,525 – $170,349 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact on standard customer engagements
• Coordinate customer pre-sales meetings and determine technical requirements
• Create a demonstration of the solution strategy, applying basic OnBase and best practice knowledge
• Present demonstration of proposed solution to key customer stakeholders for validation and buy-in
• Coordinate meeting with Global Services to transition key information; remain actively involved in process to ensure seamless transfer of customer
• Compose internal documentation that fully reflects all activity related to the solution strategy
• Provide technical responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs)
• Consistently provide input on how to improve internal efficiencies; grow knowledge and be aware of best practices and market trends
• Participate in trade shows, conferences and events

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
• Technical Sales experience with healthcare imaging
• Understanding of the healthcare IT landscape
• Proven experience with PACSGEAR solutions
• Strong understanding of DICOM, XDS, HL7, VNA
• Knowledge of general software implementation methodologies
• Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Self-directed with the ability to manage projects to completion
• Good collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
• Demonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologies
• Speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others; effective at gaining consensus
• Driven to learn and stay current professionally
• Up to 60% travel time required
