About the Position: Junior Case Manager

Job: Junior Case Manager

Promotion Opportunity: There is a promotion opportunity to the Case Manager position or to a Client Support position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Location: Work remotely; no commute required. However, we do require that you live in Utah or California. Living outside of Utah County or Southern Salt Lake County requires prior approval. Position may convert to an in-office position or require regular travel to work with other members of the team.

The Junior Case Manager will be responsible for the following:

• Taking the lead on preparing client management and making sure that our clients' cases are handled with the utmost care from the beginning to the end of the case lifecycle
• Communicate with attorneys with any questions and incorporate feedback into future work
• Research important legal issues
• Speak with clients, court clerks, and government employees on the phone and via email
• Obtain case updates from the Court on client cases and draft messages to inform client when the update is obtained
• Copiously document updates in respective Client files
• Stay in touch with your supervisor throughout the day
• Be flexible and able to assist the team with additional services as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate, or currently enrolled seeking a Bachelor's degree.
• Mastery of the English and legal language, both written and spoken
• Preferred undergraduate majors: Communications, Business, Humanities, English, Social Work, Political Science, or similar writing-focused liberal arts degree
• Desire to help people move forward from their pasts
• 1-5 years of experience in a fast-paced position which requires managing multiple tasks and providing polished writing products preferred.

• Strong computer and internet skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

• Self-starter, ability to prioritize, stay on task, and work independently.

• Goal-oriented and efficient, while remaining thorough and accurate.
• Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines
