HR Operations & Recruiting Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Operations & Recruiting Coordinator to support the full candidate and employee lifecycle within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This individual will serve as a critical partner to Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and employees by ensuring seamless recruiting operations, onboarding experiences, HR support, and employee record management.

The ideal candidate has a strong blend of recruiting coordination, onboarding administration, and HR operations experience, with hands-on knowledge of Workday and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end recruiting operations, including:
• Interview scheduling
• Virtual interview coordination
• Candidate travel arrangements
• Background check administration
• Support onboarding activities, including:
• New hire documentation and paperwork
• Offer letter audits
• Partnering with IT and Talent Acquisition on new hire readiness
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and self-service transactions.
• Maintain employee records and personnel files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
• Perform HR data entry, audits, employee updates, and reporting activities within Workday.
• Create, update, and maintain HR resources such as policies, FAQs, process guides, and knowledge articles.
• Partner with HR Business Partners, recruiters, and Centers of Excellence to support projects and process improvements.
• Escalate sensitive employee matters appropriately while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Identify opportunities to improve employee and candidate experiences through operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3-4+ years of experience in:
• HR Operations
• HR Coordination
• Recruiting Coordination
• Human Resources Shared Services
• Experience supporting both recruiting operations and HR/onboarding processes.
• Hands-on experience with Workday, including:
• Employee data entry
• New hire processing
• Employee changes
• Audits and reporting
• Experience coordinating:
• Interview scheduling
• Virtual interviews
• Candidate travel logistics
• Background checks
• Knowledge of onboarding processes, offer audits, and new hire documentation.
• Experience maintaining employee records and personnel files.
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employee support practices.
• Excellent customer service, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within a gaming, entertainment, or technology company.
• Experience working in a shared services, HR help desk, or people services environment.
• Demonstrated success driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Experience creating HR documentation, FAQs, training materials, or knowledge-base content.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Monica, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.47/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
