Join a dynamic Global Mobility Tax Operations team as a Global Mobility International Tax Accountant in Rockville, MD. Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on expatriate and international tax matters, providing guidance to employees and business managers
- Partner with external tax firms to execute tax equalization settlements and oversee vendor activities, including payroll, withholding, and expatriate tax receivables
- Investigate and resolve compensation discrepancies, ensuring accurate communication and follow-through to closure
- Lead process optimization initiatives, including RPA automation and technology enablement, to improve efficiency and reduce risk
- Maintain and update authorization lists for tax services and ensure timely communication of US and foreign tax obligations in alignment with corporate policies
- Recommend enhancements to corporate policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and compliance
- Collaborate with global mobility leadership, HRIS, payroll, finance, and external vendors to optimize systems and data integration
- Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a key point of contact for tax-related inquiries
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in global mobility tax, expatriate tax, or international individual income tax
- Demonstrated expertise in tax equalization and expatriate tax matters
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Proven ability to improve or transform tax or payroll processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Individual income tax preparation experience
- High accountability and customer service orientation
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, matrixed, and collaborative environment

- International business or payroll experience
- Financial analysis and dashboard reporting
- Familiarity with RPA tools and tax technology platforms
- Experience living or working overseas
- CPA or EA credential
- Big 4 accounting firm background
