Full Stack Engineer - UX (Contract, United States)

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, high-impact user interfaces using React or Angular
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices with Java (Spring Boot) or Python
• Translate high-fidelity designs into interactive, accessible components
• Collaborate closely with UX designers and backend engineers to integrate AI and search features
• Participate in code reviews, maintain shared UI component libraries, and uphold coding best practices
• Diagnose and resolve frontend performance issues, focusing on Core Web Vitals and state management
• Take ownership of features through the agile development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment

Required Skills and Experience

• 4-6 years professional experience in web development
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React (preferred), HTML5, and CSS3
• Solid backend experience using Java (Spring Boot)
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, capable of writing efficient queries
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments such as AWS
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and browser performance optimization

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python for backend development
• Knowledge of CSS preprocessors (SASS) or CSS-in-JS
• Exposure to building or maintaining component libraries
• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices
