Job Description

The Event Manager is responsible for owning the management and delivery of assigned events projects for in-person events.

Scope of Work

The Event Manager will be expected to effectively plan and organize work, have strong interpersonal communication skills, collaborate well with others, and deliver consistent results. They support day to day needs of the Travel and Events team, including but not limited to:

• Ownership of assigned project deliverables from planning to execution, utilizing standard processes and procedures to achieve client satisfaction
• Collaborate with the client, internal teams, and external vendors to successfully execute the event elements within our scope. This role does not independently produce every aspect of an event and requires strong collaboration and communication across multiple partners.
• Manage timelines and logistical elements per project
• Participate in internal and external team meetings/calls with key stakeholders
• Develop and distribute communications
• Manage assigned elements of the event registration process
• Proactively escalate potential client or project issues to management and account team for timely resolution
• Provide project feedback to all client stakeholders through summary and distribution of project debrief notes
• Oversee appropriate reporting, accurate data and project documentation
• Financial accountability and budget management for assigned projects
• Travel frequently to support onsite events and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 4-year degree or equivalent 2+ years of Event/Project Management experience in the following categories: meetings, conferences and tradeshows.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability in project management & financial aptitude
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Possible Travel 1-2 times per month for client meetings, site inspections and/or onsite for assigned projects
