Introduction

Hemisphere Talent Solutions is seeking experienced Electrical Design Engineers for its talent pool supporting US-based engineering, manufacturing, energy and infrastructure companies. Successful candidates will work remotely with US engineering teams, producing electrical designs, technical drawings and engineering documentation for industrial and commercial projects. We will be recruiting for multiple engineering positions, your application may also be considered for other opportunities that align with your skills and experience. Please note, that this role may require working hours aligned with the US East Coast time zone.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams and electrical layouts.
• Prepare electrical design packages, equipment schedules and technical specifications.
• Support low-voltage power distribution, control panel and electrical system design.
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing and equipment selection under appropriate engineering supervision.
• Review technical drawings and incorporate engineering revisions.
• Collaborate with US electrical engineers, project managers and technical teams.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–8 years of electrical design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Revit MEP or EPLAN.
• Experience producing electrical schematics, panel layouts and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with ETAP, SKM PowerTools or EasyPower advantageous.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 / National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant US electrical design practices.
• Ability to work with imperial measurements, US drawing standards and project specifications.
• Strong English communication and remote collaboration skills.

Preferred

Experience with UL 508A, NFPA 79, IEEE standards, commercial building systems, industrial power distribution or substation design.
