We sit between accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks Online, Oracle NetSuite) and every outgoing payment, giving the office of the CFO control, segregation of duties, and a clean audit trail. Founded in 2016, we serve 20,000+ customers across EMEA, APAC, and AMER, with revenue hubs in the UK, Toronto, Cape Town, and Brisbane. Ours is a high-volume, low-ACV motion — we win by acquiring efficiently at scale, converting trials to paying customers, and expanding accounts.

THE ROLE

We are hiring a Director of Marketing (Global) to own and drive Marketing across all of our markets. You’ll drive capital-efficient growth by acquiring new customers, building the brand, and running the programmes, campaigns and customer marketing that fuel it.

This is a builder's role for an operator who thinks in numbers. You will own acquisition strategy end to end, from channel mix and budget allocation to campaign execution and be measured on pipeline, trial volume, conversion to paid, and CAC efficiency across regions.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN:

• Global acquisition. Manage the global marketing strategy for new-logo acquisition across AMER, EMEA, and APAC, with clear regional plans for delivering qualified trials, pipeline, and revenue growth.
• Funnel performance. Own performance across the marketing funnel from demand generation through trial starts and trial-to-paid conversion with clear accountability for CAC, payback, pipeline contribution, and conversion.
• Marketing investment. Manage the global marketing budget and channel mix, continuously allocating investment towards the activities and markets generating the strongest commercial returns.
• Operating rhythm. Establish forecasting, reporting, experimentation, and a clear cadence of acquisition KPIs, providing visibility and accountability to the CRO and Senior Leadership Team.
• Team leadership. Lead, develop, and hold accountable a globally distributed marketing team, creating clear priorities, ownership, and ways of working across regions and time zones.
• Brand and positioning. Lead the development of ApprovalMax's brand, positioning, messaging, and visual identity — ensuring a consistent and compelling presence across markets and customer touchpoints.
• Product marketing and GTM. Partner with Product, Sales, RevOps, and other cross-functional teams on product positioning, launches, go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, and the handoff from marketing-generated demand through to revenue.
• Campaigns and channels. Lead integrated campaigns across performance marketing, content, SEO/SEM, email, paid digital, social, webinars, events, and other relevant channels, ensuring activity is commercially focused and measurable.
• Partner and ecosystem marketing. Develop marketing initiatives with partners and within the wider accounting and finance ecosystem to increase reach, strengthen brand visibility, and generate customer demand.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• US acquisition marketing. Non-negotiable. Proven experience driving customer acquisition in the US market.
• Remote team leadership. Demonstrated success managing a distributed, remote marketing team across regions and time zones.
• High-volume motion. A track record of marketing a low-ACV, high-volume product where efficient acquisition at scale and conversion economics determine success.
• Proven experience in a Marketing Director or similarly senior marketing leadership role, ideally within a high-growth B2B SaaS or technology environment.
• Strong people leadership skills, experience building, developing, and motivating high-performing marketing teams.
• Broad expertise across digital marketing, content, social media, and integrated campaign strategy, with a strong understanding of how these channels work together to drive growth.
• Experience developing and managing brand strategy and product marketing, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market activity.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset able to use data and performance insights to inform decisions and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills able to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and initiatives in a fast-paced, global environment.

NICE TO HAVE:

FinTech experience, or experience marketing to finance and accounting audiences.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Within your first quarter, you will have established a repeatable, measurable acquisition engine that reliably delivers qualified trials and pipeline across all regions at an efficient CAC with a high-performing global team operating on a clear cadence of targets and reporting.
