Cybersecurity analyst

As a Cybersecurity Analyst at Veronica Tech, you will be at the forefront of protecting our digital assets and ensuring the integrity of our information systems. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including IT, engineering, and compliance, to monitor network traffic, analyze security incidents, and implement proactive defenses against emerging threats. You will contribute to the development of robust security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. Requirements:

• 2–6 years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields, with a proven track record of incident response and threat analysis.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Hands‑on experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and respond promptly.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to uncover and remediate security weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, coordinating investigations and forensic analysis when breaches occur.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement security controls for new projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to promote best practices and reduce human‑related risks.
• Stay current with the latest cyber threats, attack vectors, and industry best practices, recommending enhancements to existing security measures.
