You’ll work with some of the brightest minds in the software and transportation industries. Our engineers and data scientists apply the latest in emerging tech, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning to build smarter, more advanced tools for our diverse client base. We work with clients across the United States, with global ambitions in the years ahead.

Who You Are:

As a Customer Education Specialist at Citian, you will be building our first customer training program including overall design and setup. You'll pick and configure our LMS, build self-guided learning paths for our two products, and create a program that our team can run with. Our users are traffic engineers, planners, and GIS analysts who are busy, smart, and often new to their roles in the public sector. Providing training to these individuals has to be practical, user-friendly, and simple to adopt. Our preference is to have this individual based in our D.C. office, but we are open to remote candidates as well.

Responsibilities:

• Interview customers and our CS team to define learner personas and the skills each role needs
• Evaluate and recommend a customer-facing LMS, then configure it
• Design and build a foundational curriculum (Citian 101/102) with our CS team
• Create content that explains how our data is built and why agencies can trust it, alongside product how-to content
• Build short, task-based modules: video, interactive walkthroughs, job aids, and knowledge checks
• Pilot the program with a few customers and measure completion, adoption, and feedback
• Deliver a maintenance playbook so our team can keep content current as the products change

Qualifications:

• 3+ years designing training for external customers of a software product (required)
• A portfolio showing self-paced or e-learning work you designed (required)
• Hands-on experience selecting or administering a customer-facing LMS, such as Skilljar, Thinkific, Docebo, or Northpass
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and self-directed learning
• Fluency with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, or Loom-style video
• Degree in instructional design, learning technology, or a related field (preferred)
• Experience with technical, data, GIS, or public-sector audiences (a strong plus)
