Job Title: Cloud Architect – Azure Landing Zones & Migration

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity

ZipStaff is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead cloud onboarding and integration for a major healthcare organization. You will own landing-zone design, hosting decisions, networking, security controls, and workload migrations on Azure. This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who has designed and delivered enterprise Azure environments — not a cloud-admin or ticket-based operations seat.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead cloud onboarding and integration activities for enterprise workloads.
• Design and implement Azure landing zones aligned to enterprise standards.
• Drive hosting decisions for new and migrated workloads.
• Design cloud networking patterns, connectivity, and segmentation.
• Define and implement cloud security controls across identity, network, and platform layers.
• Plan and support workload migrations onto the target Azure environment.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, security, networking, and application teams.
• Produce architecture artifacts covering landing zones, network design, security controls, and migration sequencing.

Required Qualifications:

• 8–10+ years of infrastructure / cloud architecture experience, including significant Azure delivery.
• Proven Azure architecture experience in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing landing zones.
• Strong cloud networking experience (connectivity, segmentation, hybrid/on-prem to cloud patterns).
• Strong cloud security experience (identity, platform controls, network security).
• Proven experience leading or supporting cloud workload migrations.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with architecture, security, networking, and application teams.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship now or in the future).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare or other regulated-industry cloud architecture experience.
• Prior M&A / acquired-entity cloud onboarding experience.
• Azure architecture certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
