Introduction

SymphonyAI Retail, Inc. seeks a Client Success Lead in Palo Alto, CA.

Job Description

Duties:

  • Systems Architecture & Technical Solution Ownership
    • Serve as the technical owner for the design, configuration, and ongoing optimization of complex retail space planning and assortment management systems supporting enterprise Retail and CPG clients.
    • Analyze client business requirements and translate them into scalable system architectures, data models, and integration workflows across AI driven optimization platforms and third party retail systems.
    • Lead technical solution planning and system reviews with client and internal stakeholders, ensuring system performance, reliability, security, and alignment with operational objectives.
    • Monitor deployed system architectures to proactively identify performance risks, data inconsistencies, or integration issues and coordinate remediation efforts across engineering and product teams.
  • Retail Systems & Domain Specific Architecture (Assortment, Space & Planogram)
    • Design and configure end to end system solutions that support assortment planning, space optimization, and planogram generation by integrating business rules, product attributes, and fixture data.
    • Define and maintain system logic and workflows supporting assortment lifecycle activities, including SKU rationalization, product introductions, range optimization, and discontinuation analysis using structured sales and inventory data.
    • Architect and optimize space planning and layout systems, including floor space allocation logic, category adjacencies, traffic modeling assumptions, and fixture utilization parameters.
    • Act as a technical subject matter expert for planogram systems, including:
      • Product and fixture data modeling (dimensions, facings, orientation, stacking),
      • Rule based constraint engines,
      • Automated and AI assisted layout generation processes.
    • Design and implement planogram compliance and validation frameworks, including store clustering methodologies, exception handling logic, and system driven compliance reporting.
    • Architect and maintain system integrations between legacy space management platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder/JDA, Spaceman, Apollo) and AI driven optimization engines, ensuring accurate data flow, transformation, and representation at scale.
  • Systems Integration, Performance & Technical Improvement
    • Lead structured technical problem solving and root cause analysis sessions to address system configuration issues, data quality defects, integration failures, and workflow bottlenecks.
    • Define, document, and maintain system runbooks, architectural diagrams, data flow documentation, and operational playbooks to enable consistent and scalable system deployment.
    • Partner closely with engineering and product teams to define system enhancements, architectural improvements, and integration requirements, contributing directly to technical roadmap planning.
  • Cross Functional Technical Collaboration & Solution Enablement
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Sales teams to ensure cohesive system design, handoff, and lifecycle management from pre sale technical scoping through deployment and optimization.
    • Coordinate with external system integrators, data providers, and retail technology vendors to resolve system dependencies, integration constraints, and architectural alignment issues.
    • Represent system and client operational requirements in product planning forums, sprint reviews, and architecture discussions to ensure enterprise grade solution delivery.
    • Support solution design and technical validation efforts for new business by contributing system architecture models, integration designs, and technical inputs for proposals and demos.

Requires

a Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 4 years of experience. Also requires 4 years of experience with the following: leading large-scale client engagements for Retail and CPG customers, driving end-to-end delivery of Assort & Space product implementations; directing platform migrations of the Apollo and Assort & Space systems, ensuring seamless transition through cross-functional alignment and risk-managed execution; architecting data integration and migration pipelines, enabling reliable, scalable, and cloud-native data flows on Azure; driving data accuracy, performance optimization, and validation across systems, including algorithm migrations and reporting improvements; and enabling client success through hands-on training, solution adoption, and continuous optimization, while managing enhancement roadmaps. Telecommuting permitted.
