We're the creators of soil transformation, an environmentally-friendly alternative to burial and cremation. Over a 30-45 day process, we gently transform a body into nutrient-rich soil. Families receive a portion of this soil - to scatter or plant - and the remaining soil is sent to conservation land that we acquire, to restore and protect it for future generations. Our experience is environmentally friendly, digital-first and underpinned by best-in-class family care.
Please note: We hire Preneed Advisors in cohorts, a few times a year, as we open new markets. This posting stays open year-round on purpose. If you apply between cohorts you may not hear from us for several weeks. We keep every application and reach out when the next cohort opens. You will get confirmation when you apply, and an honest answer either way.
The role:
Our Care Advisor (Funeral Sales) role primarily supports families who are planning ahead. You will follow up with families who have expressed interest or asked for more information. Your role is to respond quickly, listen well, explain soil transformation clearly, and gently help the family decide whether Earth is right for them. This is a quota-carrying role with clear monthly targets, and you will know exactly where you stand every day.
How we work:
We provide a clear, supportive playbook to help you feel confident from day one. You will have structured call guides, email templates, objection frameworks, and defined stages so you are never left guessing. We offer regular call reviews and dedicated coaching to help you grow, while transparent metrics help everyone track progress together as a team.
Our advisors love working here because our systems remove the ambiguity and set you up to thrive. We value your judgment and personal touch within this framework, and we actively encourage team members to share insights and data to help us continuously improve our playbook together.
You can expect to be assigned 1000+ families per month, and your role is focused on managing all relationships and associated tasks with those families. This is a fast-paced, fulfilling role centered on responsive, compassionate care.
What you own:
- Responding to families who reach out.
- Educating families on soil transformation. You will explain how the process works, what the 30–45 day timeline means for them, what soil they receive and what goes to conservation land, what it costs, and how it compares honestly to burial and cremation.
- Running our sales process end to end. Discovery, education, proposal, objection handling, close.
- Completing enrollment accurately, including contracts, payment plan or funding setup, and state-specific disclosure documents.
- Create and execute all assigned follow up tasks for families in the queue.
- Keeping the CRM clean. Every call logged, every lead dispositioned, every field accurate, every next step scheduled.
- Staying compliant as we grow. You will follow specific required phrasing on calls and written communications, and earn multi-state licenses as a funeral director and/or life insurance agent as we expand.
- Getting coached, and coaching back. Your calls are reviewed. You will sit in regular feedback sessions. When you find something that works better, you bring it to the team with the numbers behind it, and we update the playbook for everyone.
What you'll be measured on:
You will see these numbers daily, and nothing about how you are doing will be a mystery. Performance metrics are completely transparent and shared team-wide rather than kept on a hidden scorecard only visible to you and your manager, making it easy for everyone to learn from peers who are doing things differently or achieving higher results:
- Monthly closed enrollments against quota
- Speed to first response on new inquiries
- Conversion rate from first conversation to enrollment
- Follow-up compliance — whether scheduled touches actually happened
- CRM data quality
- Call quality scores from coaching reviews
Your first 90 days:
- Weeks 1–2: Training on soil transformation, the playbook, the CRM and our tools. Listening to recorded calls. Shadowing live consultations.
- Weeks 3–6: Handling inbound calls independently, supported by daily and weekly coaching calls and ongoing supplemental training.
- Weeks 7–12: Running your full queue independently with ongoing weekly training and coaching, reaching fully ramped performance by the end of 90 days.
Schedule:
Standard work hours vary while remaining Monday through Friday, with each team member taking on roughly one evening shift per week and one weekend day per month, plus holiday coverage shared across the team. Families reach out seven days a week, and we answer. The rotation is published in advance.
What you need:
- Experience persuading people toward a decision they care about. That can be preneed or at-need arrangement conferences as a funeral director, insurance or final-expense sales, senior living or hospice intake, or another consultative sales role.
- A track record of success.
- Comfort working from talk tracks, templates and a defined process, and being coached on your calls.
- Comfort with talking about death and grief.
- Strong reading comprehension and clear written communication. Most of our process lives in written documentation and asynchronous messages.
- Aptitude to learn software quickly on your own. You will use a CRM (HubSpot), VOIP calling tools, Slack and AI assistants daily.
- A remote setup that works: reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, private space for confidential family conversations.
- Availability for the evening, weekend and holiday rotation.
- Trustworthiness without supervision. You will be handling sensitive information about families at a vulnerable moment, from your own home, largely unobserved.
Great to have:
- Licensed funeral director or mortuary science background.
- Preneed or advance planning sales experience at a funeral home, cemetery or insurance carrier.
- An active life insurance license. Not required to start — we fund and support you in getting one, and it is required for promotion into senior advisor roles.
- A real interest in conservation and sustainability.
