The Business Banking Asset Resolution Officer will have direct responsibility for managing SBLC (Small Business Loan Center) and Business Banking accounts that are on the Watch List and/or in workout. Responsibilities include: develop strategies for resolution, manage relationship, closely monitor collateral position, closely monitor financial performance (including comparisons to budget/plan), monitor covenants and take appropriate action, write-up credit requests, assist in maintaining up-to-date loan risk rating sheets, keep loan documentation files updated as information is obtained, and engage field exams and appraisals as needed.
How you will spend your time:
- Keep account log updated each month (or more often if deemed necessary).
- Maintain strong relationships/partnerships with Loan Officers associated with the credits.
- Maintain strong relationships/partnerships with internal and/or external legal counsel.
- Work and partner with other UMB groups as needed (i.e. Bank Card, Treasury, Capital Corp, Operations, etc.).
- Perform impairment reviews, if deemed necessary.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience including a combination of cash flow and asset based lending, identification of risk and satisfactory underwriting of same
- 3 years experience managing problem loans
- OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background
- Demonstrates good problem solving and sound decision making skills
- Demonstrates good organizational skills
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of customer, peers, senior management, and outside vendors
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and maintain mental concentration to balance interruptions and to prioritize tasks occurring simultaneously
- Demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Stucky (ABL system)
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of commercial lending transaction documentation, including legal documentation, collateral perfection, legal and regulatory requirements, and policy exceptions

Compensation Range:
$117,900 - $173,393
