This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Brand Reputation Manager (SEO & PR) based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and protect a brand’s digital reputation across search engines, media, online platforms, and customer communities.

You will own strategies that strengthen search visibility, build authoritative digital narratives, and proactively address reputation risks.

The position combines SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), digital PR, content strategy, and online reputation management.

You’ll work hands-on across content, search, media relationships, monitoring, and customer advocacy initiatives.

Success will depend on turning strategic insights into measurable improvements in visibility, credibility, and brand sentiment.

The role suits a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is comfortable managing sensitive reputation matters.

You’ll also help adapt digital reputation strategies as search engines, AI discovery, and online platforms continue to evolve.

Accountabilities

• Own and continuously improve the brand’s Page One search presence across Google and other relevant search ecosystems.
• Develop strategies that increase the visibility of authoritative, accurate, and trusted brand and third-party properties in search results.
• Optimize and maintain profiles across LinkedIn, Medium, industry directories, review platforms, and other high-authority websites.
• Monitor search results, brand mentions, reviews, media coverage, reputation signals, and emerging digital risks.
• Develop and publish high-quality, SEO-optimized content that strengthens positive brand narratives and search visibility.
• Build content defense strategies using authoritative websites, editorial content, digital PR, and organic search.
• Develop relationships with journalists, publications, influencers, and high-authority websites to generate relevant media coverage, guest posts, and earned media opportunities.
• Create rapid-response content and PR strategies when negative narratives or reputation risks emerge.
• Coordinate content assets and distribution channels to reinforce positive search visibility during reputation challenges.
• Build customer advocacy initiatives that encourage authentic stories, reviews, testimonials, and community participation.
• Partner with Customer Success and other internal teams to identify brand advocates and develop appropriate advocacy programs.
• Establish and maintain reputation monitoring systems using tools such as Google Alerts, Mention, Brand24, or comparable platforms.
• Track SEO, content, media, reputation, and search performance metrics and use insights to refine strategies.
• Research developments in SEO, AI-powered search, LLM discovery, GEO, digital PR, and online reputation management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align reputation, SEO, content, customer experience, and communications initiatives.
• Develop scalable processes that strengthen the organization’s ability to protect and improve its digital reputation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in online reputation management, SEO, digital PR, brand communications, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience improving and managing brand visibility and reputation across search results.
• Strong expertise in SEO, content strategy, technical search fundamentals, and search reputation management.
• Practical understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI-powered search, LLM discovery, and emerging search behaviors.
• Experience developing authoritative content strategies and securing relevant digital PR or media placements.
• Strong understanding of online reputation risks, search-result management, brand monitoring, and crisis response.
• Experience with monitoring platforms such as Google Alerts, Mention, Brand24, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to respond quickly and strategically to reputation threats and emerging issues.
• Strong content development and editorial judgment, with the ability to create compelling, credible, and search-optimized content.
• Experience building relationships with journalists, publications, industry websites, communities, or other external stakeholders.
• Understanding of customer advocacy, community building, reviews, testimonials, and authentic brand storytelling.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret search, content, reputation, and engagement data.
• Highly proactive and execution-oriented, with the ability to move efficiently from strategy to implementation.
• Willingness to continuously experiment with emerging SEO, AI, and digital reputation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and operate effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Strong judgment, discretion, resilience, and ownership when handling sensitive brand and reputation matters.
• Comfort working with senior leadership and clearly communicating reputation risks, opportunities, priorities, and results.
