About the role

We’re looking for a Brand Designer (Digital) to lead brand and visual design for Cloaked's white-glove protection offering - our concierge-led service for high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and top executives who've chosen dedicated protection over self-serve.

This offering has its own identity, distinct from our core consumer product: premium, understated, and built to earn trust with an audience that expects it. You'll own everything a client sees, from the onboarding experience to the physical materials that arrive at their door, and steward the visual system that holds it together - working directly with the lead for the offering.

This is a four-to-six-month contract engagement with the intent to convert to full-time for the right fit.

What will you do?

• Build the visual system
• Develop and steward the brand - typography, palette, logo and lockups, photography, layout language - so it reads as authoritative and premium, with restraint over flash
• Maintain the brand system and guidelines as a living reference the team can work from
• Design the client experience
• Design the client-facing onboarding sessions: Figma presentations, screen recordings, and animations that make the concierge journey feel considered and easy to follow
• Explore and design product-interface concepts - UI mockups and flows for onboarding, interactive tutorials that teach the product, and the on-screen moments shown in client presentations
• Make the physical artifacts
• Design tangible, high-touch collateral: leather-bound folders with foil-stamped logos, printed briefs and dossier presentation, and QR-to-digital experiences that bridge print to the app
• Design intentional, on-brand merchandise for clients and events - considered pieces that reinforce the positioning, not merch for merch's sake
• Work closely with the team
• Meet weekly with the lead to review progress and set priorities

What skills and experiences will help you?

• A portfolio showing brand systems you've built or substantially shaped, not just applied
• Strong typographic judgment and a point of view on what reads as premium versus what reads as loud
• Fluency in Figma, including presentation and prototype work
• Motion and animation skills sufficient to show product flows clearly
• Print production experience - you know how to prepare files that come back from the printer looking the way you intended
• Comfort designing UI, even if product design isn't your primary discipline
• Experience working independently as a contractor with minimal art direction

What's nice to have?

• Work with luxury, private banking, high-end hospitality, or other high-net-worth audiences
• Specialty print experience: foil stamping, embossing, bookbinding, or bespoke packaging
• Experience designing sub-brands that sit alongside a parent brand without competing with it
• Exposure to security, privacy, or identity products
• Merch and physical product design
• Background working in a startup or high-growth environment

What we offer

Cloaked is a well-funded Series B startup based out of NYC.

Although we are a distributed team, the NYC team operates with a hybrid model. We have two floors of our building, with two state of the art kitchens packed with drinks, snacks and everything else you'd need to get through the day.

The Cloaked team has diverse interests and so we frequently embark on team outings and go out for socials!

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this contract engagement will be discussed directly with candidates.

For full-time US employees, we offer above market rate pay and equity based off of the market's best commercially available data. Your compensation will be a combination of salary, bonus and equity, plus a comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental and vision with Cloaked covering the majority of employee premiums, company-paid basic life, and a 401(k) with company match.

We offer flexible work arrangements and the ability to work remotely as needed. Cloaked provides a home office stipend in addition to a new company laptop (and other tech depending on the role).
