About Us

Advanced Asset Management (AAM Living) delivers smart, data-driven property and asset management solutions across Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico. We specialize in maximizing occupancy, optimizing operations, improving turnover speed, and creating high-quality resident experiences. Our portfolio spans multifamily, affordable housing, build-to-rent, and community-centric living environments where operational excellence drives financial performance. We are modern, tech-enabled, people-centric, and driven by efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Asset Manager to support portfolio operations and provide leadership across our growing multifamily portfolio. This management-track role is ideal for an experienced Community Manager or property management professional ready to take on broader operational, financial, and team leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a process- and analytics-oriented leader who can delegate effectively, establish accountability, identify operational inefficiencies, implement scalable processes, and drive execution across onsite and third-party teams. This role will work closely with leadership, ownership, property teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily team coordination, delegation, accountability, and work completion across onsite and third-party teams.
  • Support onboarding, coaching, performance management, and development of leasing, administrative, and property staff.
  • Conduct portfolio and asset reviews to monitor operational readiness, brand standards, safety, and property performance.
  • Coordinate maintenance, vendor, and property workflows while establishing effective controls and service-level expectations.
  • Support resident and owner escalations, ensuring timely resolution and professional communication.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, AR/AP monitoring, and expense controls.
  • Develop and maintain Excel and Google Sheets dashboards, KPI trackers, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and performance reports.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly property, asset management, and financial reports for ownership and leadership.
  • Monitor performance metrics, identify operational risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, and internal controls.
  • Map processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency, accountability, and scalability.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation, operational records, and compliance logs.
  • Partner with U.S. leadership to align portfolio metrics, reporting, and strategic objectives.
  • Support strategic initiatives and track accountability through completion.
  • Travel to assigned markets as required, including regional day trips and occasional overnight travel.
  • Support occasional evening or weekend activities related to move-ins, emergencies, audits, or operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of property management experience, preferably in multifamily or mixed portfolios.
  • Community Manager experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, delegate responsibilities, and create accountability.
  • Strong understanding of property operations, accounting, budgeting, and financial fundamentals.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, dashboards, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and process improvement skills.
  • Experience developing or implementing SOPs, workflows, controls, and operational checklists.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional presence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, identify risks, and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic and continuous-learning mindset.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel across assigned Texas markets.
  • Ability to build buy-in and collaborate effectively with employees, vendors, partners, and leadership.

Benefits

  • Health insurance.
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Paid time off.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
  • Collaborative, innovative, and high-performance work environment.
