The AR Customer Service Specialist is responsible for working collaboratively with all Revenue Cycle functional areas, to maximize revenues by ensuring distribution of all patient statements and collecting patient payments to satisfy account receivable balances.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all inbound calls regarding insurance-related inquiries from patients, field staff and insurance carriers.
• Always displays a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and responds promptly to customer inquiries.
• Keeps records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
• Communicating and coordinating with coworkers to resolve customer complaints as necessary.
• Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process to People Leaders.
• Reviewing and mailing out all patient statements.
• Responsible for small balance write-offs to ensure appropriate and accurate patient statements are mailed.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
• Communicates to Cash Applications Team when credit card payments are updated on the tracker.
• Contacts patients to communicate a coordination of benefits issue and instruct patients on the resolution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 – 3 years’ experience in customer service, preferably in medical field.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Accuracy in posting numbers.
• The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Significant experience using Excel, and Word required.
• Self-starter who excels in a fast paced, data driven environment.

Target Pay: $18 - 21/hr

Work Location: Hybrid schedule in Somerset, NJ OR Remote
