Job Title: Appraisal Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: This position may be based remotely or out of one of USF’s office locations.

The Appraisal Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for applying specialty knowledge and expertise when reviewing estimates and narrative reports to ensure accurate valuations of property for insurance claims and other purposes. The QA Analyst will be responsible for the quality of our narrative reports and will collaborate with various departments to establish property values, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the appraisal process from initial inspection through final report completion, ensuring each appraisal is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
  • Review appraisal estimates and reports for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform appraisals and manage appraisal claims as needed to support business and client needs.
  • Onboard, train, and support new contractor appraisers to ensure they understand performance expectations and are equipped to meet client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Partner with appraisers and internal teams to address errors, provide feedback, and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of appraisal reviews, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Identify trends and recurring issues and communicate findings to management to support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct periodic market analyses and remain current on market conditions, economic factors, industry developments, and regulatory changes that may impact property valuations.
  • Apply a strong understanding of valuation methodologies, including the sales comparison, cost, and income approaches.
  • Maintain applicable certifications and effectively utilize appraisal software, databases, and other relevant technology.
  • Ensure appraisal practices and processes comply with applicable state and federal regulations, client requirements, and established industry standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control measures that promote accurate, consistent, and well-supported valuations across the appraisal process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The following skills are integral to success in this role:

  • Licensed claims adjuster and Certified Appraiser Property & Casualty Adjusting License
  • 10+ years of property personal lines insurance claims experience
  • Familiar with Xactimate and Xactanalysis
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities
  • Remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Growth-minded – sharing ideas with operations to improve process efficiencies, and foster open communication, etc.
  • Computer literate and proficient in using Microsoft Office, various browsers, and PDF programs.
  • Ability to learn our Job Management Systems.
