Accountant 1

The Accountant 1 provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and prepares financial reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. General Ledger Activities
   1. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries for assigned companies and general ledger accounts timely and accurately
   2. Ensures deadlines are met monthly, quarterly and at year end close
   3. Prepares federal, state, and local reports including annual and monthly sales tax returns
   4. Maintains financial security by following internal controls
   5. Performs other general ledger activity as assigned
2. Reconciliation/Analysis/ Projects
   1. Reconciles balances of assigned asset and liability accounts
   2. Assists in the analysis of significant fluctuations in asset and liability account balances to ensure accuracy of financial records
   3. Prepares various monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
   4. Prepares annual audit schedules for external auditors timely and accurately
   5. Assist with various accounting projects and reporting activities

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in finance field
