Account director

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Director to join our progressive and dynamic environment and play a key role in expanding the adoption of our software and services across our world-class client community.

As part of our Global Sales team, this role will focus exclusively on a portfolio of named existing client accounts. Your primary objective will be to drive incremental revenue by identifying opportunities to expand the use of our software and services within our established client base.

You’ll work closely with our Client Success, Sales, Professional Services and Legal teams to develop strategic account plans, strengthen client relationships, identify opportunities for growth and ensure our solutions continue to deliver meaningful business value.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive revenue growth by increasing adoption of software and services across existing client accounts.
• Partner with the Client Growth Director and Client Success team to develop and execute long-term account growth strategies.
• Develop a deep understanding of client objectives and business challenges, positioning our solutions to support their desired outcomes.
• Proactively manage relationships across your named accounts, creating regular engagement and identifying opportunities to introduce additional products and services.
• Present products and services to clients, including delivering engaging live demonstrations.
• Develop proposals and support responses to RFPs and other client opportunities.
• Partner with Professional Services to scope client requirements and develop Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Work closely with Legal to facilitate contracting, amendments and SOW execution.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce data and account information to support forecasting, reporting and KPI tracking.
• Build strong client relationships and increase awareness, understanding and appreciation of technology and services.
• Take ownership of your sales quota and actively participate throughout the sales cycle, from identifying opportunities through to closing.
• Apply a Targeted Account Selling methodology to maximise growth across your assigned accounts.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of sales experience, ideally within a B2B software, technology or services environment.
• A positive, proactive “can-do” attitude, with the creativity and resourcefulness to identify opportunities and find solutions.
• Strong team-player mentality, combined with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your accounts.
• A willingness to learn and develop expertise in the intellectual property sector. Experience or knowledge across patents, trademarks, copyrights or domains is highly desirable.
• A strong understanding of technology and software, with experience presenting and demonstrating software solutions to clients.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, accounts and opportunities simultaneously.
• Strong influencing, collaboration and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with clients via phone, email and in person.
• Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform is advantageous.
