Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Video Editor to join a premium content marketing agency producing polished, cinematic video for high-end brands. This is a long-term, fully remote role for an experienced editor who can take a brief and footage folder and independently turn them into finished, high-quality content.

You'll work primarily on short-form social content, while also contributing to long-form YouTube videos and occasional premium commercial campaigns. The ideal candidate has strong creative instincts, premium visual taste, and the technical ability to own the editing process from start to finish.

As a Senior Video Editor, you will:

  • Edit 30–60 second vertical videos for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts from raw footage through final, ready-to-post delivery.
  • Create 15–20 minute long-form YouTube videos, including structure, pacing, b-roll, music, sound mixing, and finishing.
  • Work on occasional high-end product and commercial campaigns, including color, motion, and finishing.
  • Create clean, intentional edits with strong pacing, typography, music, sound design, and storytelling.
  • Develop and use motion graphics including lower thirds, titles, transitions, and branded templates.
  • Create thumbnails and cover frames that align with each client's brand.
  • Handle color correction, basic grading, audio mixing, and sound design independently.
  • Organize projects and manage versioning across Google Drive, Notion, and Frame.io.
  • Bring creative ideas, references, and thoughtful feedback when a brief can be improved.
  • Work independently from a creative brief and footage folder without requiring extensive hand-holding.
  • Maintain high standards across multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining organized workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal (C1 level Minimum).
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude, eager to work with others and solve problems.
  • 5+ years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio demonstrating strong short-form social work for recognizable brands.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong proficiency in After Effects, including motion graphics and MOGRTs.
  • Comfortable working in Photoshop.
  • Demonstrated ability to edit 15+ minute long-form content and finish premium commercial/product work.
  • Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, clean typography, music, sound design, color, and visual composition.
  • Able to independently manage color correction, basic grading, audio mixing, and sound design.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing projects, assets, and versions.
  • Fast, reliable internet connection and a computer capable of handling 4K multi-layer timelines.
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Figma, product/lifestyle brands, or U.S.-based agencies is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the editing process for short-form social content from raw footage to final delivery.
  • Produce engaging, polished long-form YouTube content.
  • Support premium commercial and product campaigns with professional-level editing, color, motion, and finishing.
  • Maintain consistent visual standards and branded editing systems across client projects.
  • Collaborate with the creative team while contributing your own ideas and professional judgment.
  • Keep projects organized and properly versioned across the team's workflow tools.
  • Deliver high-quality work independently and on schedule.

Portfolio & Hiring Process

Candidates should submit a portfolio or reel that includes:

  • Three short-form pieces they are especially proud of.
  • One long-form piece demonstrating their ability to handle longer-form storytelling and editing.
  • A brief explanation of what they personally contributed to each piece, such as editing, motion, color, or sound.
  • Years of experience, current location/time zone, salary expectations, and earliest available start date.

The hiring process includes:

  1. Portfolio review
  2. 30–45 second test edit with a 48-hour turnaround
  3. 45-minute video interview
