As a DevOps Test Bench Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based environments across AWS, GCP, and Azure to support automated testing and continuous integration workflows for our high‑availability services, ensuring rapid feedback loops and high product quality. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, leveraging advanced Linux proficiency and infrastructure‑as‑code principles to orchestrate workloads, monitor system health, and troubleshoot production anomalies while driving operational excellence and resilience. Your role will serve as the bridge between development, SRE, and QA, continuously improving deployment pipelines, performance optimization, and cost‑efficiency in a fast‑paced, remote‑first culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build end‑to‑end test benches on AWS, GCP, and Azure using IaC tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Automate provisioning, scaling, and teardown of test environments using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Integrate test benches with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) to enable automated end‑to‑end testing.
  • Monitor and analyze system metrics, logs, and traces with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch to ensure test bench reliability.
  • Optimize cost and performance of cloud resources by implementing right‑sizing, spot instances, and reserved capacity plans.
  • Develop and maintain security hardening policies, IAM roles, and compliance checks for all cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with SRE teams to define SLAs, incident response plans, and disaster recovery procedures for test environments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide thought leadership on emerging DevOps and SRE best practices.
  • Conduct capacity planning, load testing, and resilience testing to validate infrastructure under real‑world scenarios.
  • Document architecture, procedures, and runbooks to facilitate knowledge transfer and audit compliance.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 2+ years of hands‑on cloud engineering experience across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Strong command of Linux system administration and shell scripting.
  • Proficiency with DevOps tooling: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD orchestrators, and IaC frameworks.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for distributed applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex failure scenarios in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of SRE principles, including incident management, post‑mortem analysis, and reliability engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset suited for remote, cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to balance speed of delivery with security, scalability, and cost‑efficiency considerations.
  • A proactive stance on continuous learning and an eagerness to adopt new technologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering reliable, automated testing infrastructure that reduces release risk.
