Position

To strengthen our Swiss sales team, we are currently looking for a:

Territory Manager Cardiology / LAA Occluder

French-Speaking Switzerland Region
Home-office based, ideally residing within the territory

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and develop all assigned customers and hospitals within the territory.
  • Achieve agreed sales objectives and drive market share growth.
  • Develop and implement account plans to increase procedural volumes and accelerate business growth.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, tenders, and procurement processes.
  • Represent and defend Abbott’s pricing and value strategy.
  • Analyze market and competitor activities and identify new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Promote the adoption of intraprocedural imaging solutions, particularly Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE), and image-guided workflows.
  • Provide technical and clinical support during Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) procedures using cardiac occluder devices.
  • Support procedure planning, case reviews, and clinical decision-making processes.
  • Deliver product, therapy, and application training to physicians and catheterization laboratory teams.
  • Serve as a technical and clinical resource for cardiac imaging, with a focus on Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE).
  • Support pre-procedural planning and intraprocedural imaging activities.
  • Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and imaging specialists to optimize clinical workflows.
  • Act as a liaison between internal functions such as Clinical Studies, Sales, Customer Service, and Tender Management.
  • Maintain CRM/SFDC data and provide accurate sales and demand forecasts.
  • Manage consignment inventory and ensure product availability.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Several years of experience within the medical device industry.
  • Proven experience supporting interventional cardiology procedures.
  • Strong track record of collaboration with interventional cardiologists.
  • Experience with cardiac occluder therapies for Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC).
  • Experience supporting procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and/or hybrid operating room environment.
  • Knowledge of cardiac imaging workflows, including pre-procedural planning and intraprocedural imaging.
  • Experience working with electrophysiologists and electrophysiology programs is preferred.
  • Experience with Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE) is an advantage.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in account management and business development.
  • Ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Strategic mindset with strong market and competitive awareness.
  • High level of initiative, accountability, and autonomy.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales processes.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
