About the role

As an AI Presales Solutions Architect, you will partner with sales, consulting, and delivery teams to identify, qualify, and shape AI and data opportunities with clients. You will lead technical discovery, translate business needs into secure and scalable solution approaches, and clearly communicate the business value, feasibility, and delivery considerations of proposed solutions. This role is primarily presales-focused, with involvement from early opportunity discovery through proposal, solution design, and handoff to delivery. Along the way, you will get to:

• Serve as the primary technical resource for AI and data opportunities, supporting discovery, qualification, solution envisioning, demos, and proofs of concept.
• Partner with account and services teams to understand client goals, assess fit, and shape opportunities aligned to repeatable, scalable offerings.
• Translate client business and technical requirements into high-level architectures, solution narratives, proposals, estimates, and implementation approaches.
• Develop and review statements of work, RFP/RFI responses, and proposal content with clear scope, assumptions, risks, success measures, and handoff expectations.
• Maintain visibility into key opportunities from initial discovery through signed agreement, ensuring a smooth transition to delivery teams.
• Provide light engagement oversight as needed, helping maintain client confidence and continuity after work moves into delivery.
• Represent the organization as a trusted technical advisor through client meetings, partner events, thought leadership, and market-facing conversations.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in technical architecture, solution consulting, engineering, or delivery roles, ideally with exposure to data, AI, analytics, or cloud-based solutions.
• Experience in technical presales, client-facing consulting, solution shaping, or advisory work, with the ability to build trust with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to lead discovery conversations, qualify opportunities, identify where AI or traditional technology approaches are appropriate, and explain recommendations in clear business terms.
• Working knowledge of modern AI solution patterns, including generative AI, agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation, AI-enabled applications, and cloud-based AI services.
• Comfort building or guiding prototypes, demos, or proof-of-concept work to validate solution ideas and support client decision-making.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to present to clients, collaborate with delivery teams, contribute to proposals, and represent solutions in market-facing settings.
• A practical understanding of delivery considerations, including scope, risk, feasibility, and how to avoid overcommitting beyond what can be delivered.

Salary

The base salary range for this position is typically $150,000 to $170,000 CAD, with additional bonus and benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
