A dynamic organisation is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its finance team based in Johannesburg East. This role offers exposure to cross-border taxation, international compliance requirements, and stakeholder engagement across French-speaking African operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing monthly and annual tax submissions while ensuring compliance with local tax regulations across several African territories. Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual tax submissions across French-speaking African countries.
• Ensure compliance with local tax legislation and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review tax calculations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Liaise with external advisors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with tax audits and regulatory queries.
• Monitor changes in relevant tax legislation and assess business impact.
• Prepare tax reports and compliance documentation for management.
• Support finance teams with tax-related guidance and best practices.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant tax accounting experience.
• Strong experience with tax compliance, tax submissions, and reconciliations.
• Fluency in French and English is essential due to the nature of stakeholder engagement across French-speaking African regions.
• Experience working with multinational or African tax environments will be advantageous.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance deadlines.
