Company and Job Description:

Our client is a well-established organisation within the SME finance sector, dedicated to supporting entrepreneurial growth through innovative financing and value-added business solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying investment opportunities, conducting financial due diligence, structuring funding solutions, managing stakeholder relationships, and monitoring investment portfolios. This role requires a strong financial background, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to assess risk while driving sustainable returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to identify potential clients and strategic business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain networks through participation in industry events, conferences, and business forums.
• Perform detailed financial, commercial, and risk-based due diligence on potential investments.
• Develop financial models including revenue forecasts, cost analyses, risk assessments, and return calculations.
• Prepare comprehensive investment reports and recommendations for decision-making purposes.
• Structure and negotiate financing solutions aligned with organisational risk and return objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of investment portfolios and funded businesses.
• Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory requirements, market conditions, and economic trends affecting investment decisions.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business field
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in business investment, business finance, or a related financial services environment.
• Exposure to auditing, banking, financial accounting, or sales and marketing environments will be advantageous.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, investment assessments, and funding transactions.
