The business specialises in engineering consulting, steel fabrication, manufacturing, structural projects, process solutions and mining-related services, supporting clients with high-quality, fit-for-purpose project execution across South Africa.

Responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions, attending site briefings, reviewing client specifications, interpreting engineering drawings, obtaining supplier pricing, compiling technical and commercial proposals, coordinating internal stakeholders, conducting cost estimates, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, managing submission deadlines, and supporting the successful handover of awarded projects to execution teams.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• 3-5 years' experience in Proposal Engineering, Tendering, Estimating or Bid Management within mining, steel fabrication, construction, structural steel or civil engineering environments.
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a recognised Artisan Trade.
• Proven experience compiling technical and commercial tenders from enquiry through to submission.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, scopes of work and technical documentation.
• Strong costing, estimating, commercial awareness, planning and deadline management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
