Job & Company description:

Our client is an established animal feed manufacturing business operating within the agricultural sector. Their production environment involves automated feed-milling processes, raw materials, premixes, formulations, packaging and pelletised feed production. They require hands-on operational leadership to ensure efficient production and consistent product quality.

Lead daily animal feed production operations, including production planning, feed formulations, raw materials and premixes, packaging and product reporting. Manage production teams, productivity and disciplinary matters while maintaining quality standards and investigating production issues. Oversee automated feed-milling and pelleting processes, coordinate maintenance requirements, minimise downtime and ensure efficient, reliable plant performance.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Relevant technical qualification or recognised trade, ideally Millwright, Fitter, Electrician, Mechanical/Electrical or a relevant production qualification.
• Proven production management experience within the animal feed/feed milling industry is essential.
• Strong practical knowledge of feed milling, pelleting, batching/formulations, raw materials, premixes and automated production equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in production planning, quality control, troubleshooting, maintenance coordination and minimising plant downtime.
• Strong people-management and leadership skills, with experience managing production teams, productivity, performance and disciplinary matters.
