Management accountant

Are you currently completing your SAIPA or CIMA articles and looking for an opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment? A leading manufacturing organisation based in Somerset West, Western Cape, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SAIPA or CIMA Clerk to join its finance team. This role offers excellent exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, compliance, and operational finance processes within a fast-paced business environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team, assisting with reporting, month-end activities, budgeting processes, and financial governance while building valuable experience towards their professional qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of weekly financial reports across various departments.
• Support the maintenance and improvement of financial reporting processes and controls.
• Assist with financial governance and compliance activities.
• Support month-end reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Perform basic variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor budget performance and assist in identifying financial trends.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Assist in providing financial information and insights to support business operations.
• Perform general accounting and administrative duties as required.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Completed BCom Accounting Degree.
• Completed SAIPA or CIMA articles.
• 1 - 2 years’ post-articles experience.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Manufacturing or operational finance experience will be advantageous.
