Duties & Responsibilities

An established industrial engineering supplier in Germiston is seeking an Internal Technical Sales Representative with experience in industrial gears, pumps and gearboxes. The successful candidate will manage customer enquiries, prepare quotations, process orders and recommend suitable products according to customer specifications. Responsibilities will include following up on quotations, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, monitoring order progress and providing customers with technical and after-sales support.

Education:

Matric Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting and Turning or a related field would be advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Internal technical sales experience within an industrial engineering environment
• Product knowledge of industrial gears, pumps and gearboxes
• Experience preparing quotations and processing customer orders
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and identify suitable products
• Experience of liaising with suppliers, workshops and customers
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Good administrative, organizational and follow-up ability
• Computer literacy and experience using enterprise resource planning or customer relationship management system
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
