Duties & Responsibilities

A well-established supplier of industrial instrumentation solutions is seeking an Internal Technical Sales Specialist for its Gauteng operation. You will assist customers with product selection, prepare and follow up on quotations, respond to technical enquiries and support the external sales team. The position requires someone who can understand customer applications, recommend suitable instrumentation products and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales and order process.

The successful candidate will be confident, approachable and energetic, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and create a positive customer experience.

Education: A qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Previous internal or technical sales experience within instrumentation or a related industrial environment
• Knowledge of industrial instrumentation products and applications
• Experience preparing quotations and responding to customer enquiries
• Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products
• Experience following up on quotations, orders and outstanding customer requirements
• Strong telephone etiquette and written communication skills
• An engaging, confident and customer-focused personality
• Strong administration, organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to support External Sales Representatives and collaborate with technical teams
• Customer relationship management and sales-pipeline experience would be advantageous
• Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure
