Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours Degree in Internal Auditing, Accounting, or a related field.
• Membership with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is required; CIA designation or progress towards obtaining it is advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in governance, risk, and compliance consulting.
• At least 2 years' experience in a Senior Auditor role.
• Proven experience conducting internal audits within financial services sectors such as banking, insurance, asset management, fintech, healthcare, and multi-site operational environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audit engagements from planning through to reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Internal Audit Standards and best practices, including International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IIA Standards), COSO, and risk management frameworks.
• Proficient in using internal audit software, audit management tools, data analytics, and audit testing techniques.
• Excellent skills in preparing high-quality, review-ready working papers and reports.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders including CFOs, General Managers, and Heads of Function.
• Leadership and team development capability with a client-focused and commercially aware mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environments.
