Hvac sales engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

An established international climate-control solutions provider is seeking a technically competent Sales Engineer to join its team in Germiston. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, develop existing accounts and recommend suitable humidification, dehumidification and evaporative-cooling solutions. Responsibilities will include conducting site assessments, interpreting customer requirements, selecting and sizing equipment, preparing technical quotations and proposals, and managing opportunities through to order placement. The role requires regular engagement with consulting engineers, contractors, facilities teams and industrial end users.

Education:

National Diploma, BTech or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Building Services or a related technical field. Additional HVAC training would be advantageous.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Proven technical sales experience within the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry
• Knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems
• Understanding of humidification, dehumidification, evaporative cooling, psychrometrics and air-handling units
• Experience with equipment selection, system sizing, quotations and technical proposals
• Ability to develop new business and maintain strong customer relationships
• Experience engaging with consulting engineers, contractors and industrial customers
• Knowledge of building-management systems and HVAC controls would be advantageous
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
