Hr & payroll manager

Are you a strategic HR professional with a strong payroll background and a passion for driving people excellence? An established investment company based in Johannesburg North is seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Manager to lead its human resources and payroll functions while supporting business growth through effective people management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and talent development.
• Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation, BCEA, LRA, POPIA, and other relevant regulations.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage employee benefits, leave administration, and remuneration processes.
• Provide guidance and support to management on HR-related matters.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives across the business.
• Prepare HR and payroll reports, analytics, and management information.
• Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, and employee wellness initiatives.
• Drive employee engagement and contribute to a positive company culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years' experience in HR.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and payroll practices.
• Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
