They are seeking a Working Capital Specialist to drive new business development, structure funding transactions, and deliver profitable lending solutions aligned with client needs and strategic business objectives. This role is focused on originating and executing working capital finance transactions, building strong client and intermediary relationships, and contributing to sustained revenue growth. You will be responsible for managing the full deal lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and assessing viability through to structuring, approval, and payout.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with an understanding of lending principles, credit risk, and financial analysis, enabling them to identify opportunities and deliver value-added funding solutions in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities:

• Source and originate new working capital funding opportunities through established networks and client engagement.
• Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified business opportunities.
• Drive market penetration and new client acquisition within the Johannesburg region.
• Structure tailored working capital solutions aligned to client requirements and risk parameters.
• Manage the end-to-end transaction process from origination through to payout.
• Ensure efficient turnaround times and quality execution of funding transactions.
• Generate revenue in line with agreed budgets and performance targets.
• Optimise pricing and transaction structures to maximise profitability.
• Ensure all transactions comply with credit, risk, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Credit, Legal, and Operations teams to facilitate deal flow and approvals.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, introducers, and intermediaries.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and repeat business.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging sector opportunities.
• Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and business development objectives.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• CA(SA) or CFA (Completed) Postgraduate qualification or relevant financial services certification advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within a lending or broader financial services environment.
• Experience in originating, structuring, and executing finance transactions.
• Proven success in a client-facing business development role within financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, lending principles, and deal structuring.
• Experience working within credit, risk, and governance frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional client and intermediary relationships.
• Strong negotiation and transaction execution skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
