Job Description

Job Description & Summary

We are seeking a highly accomplished and entrepreneurial corporate finance professional to join our leadership team as a Senior Manager. This individual will play a key dual role:

  • providing market coverage working in the relationship role for our key clients in Uzbekistan and proactively originating new business by building deep client relationships and creating transaction opportunities
  • ensuring excellence in deal execution.

The ideal candidate combines sharp strategic thinking, flawless execution, and the ability to engage senior clients with conviction and insight.

Key Responsibilities

1. Origination & Relationship Building

  • Proactively engage with CEOs, CFOs, private equity firms, and family business owners to identify potential mandates
  • Develop a pipeline of actionable ideas that solve client needs and create value
  • Initiate strategic dialogues with clients — not waiting for inbound interest but creating the opportunity
  • Represent the firm in the market with credibility, integrity, and commercial sharpness

2. Strategic Thinking & Market Insight

  • Monitor sectors of focus to identify trends, potential deal themes, and market gaps
  • Generate thought leadership and actionable insights to stimulate client engagement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape and pitch compelling M&A and debt advisory ideas

3. Execution Leadership

  • Lead the execution of complex M&A transactions (sell-side, buy-side, mergers, joint ventures, carve-outs, etc.) and debt advisory transactions
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including corporate finance/financial/business/valuation analysts, legal, tax, and other due diligence advisors
  • Drive rigorous process management, from mandate kick-off through to closing
  • Ensure all deliverables (valuations, teaser, information memorandum, models, management presentations, etc.) meet the highest professional standards

4. Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor junior and mid-level professionals, creating a culture of excellence, accountability, and development
  • Provide on-the-job training, guidance on workstreams, and career mentorship
  • Foster a high-performance environment where initiative and integrity are recognized

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience in M&A advisory, investment banking, or a related corporate finance function
  • Debt advisory experience including funding strategy and DCM transactions from origination through execution
  • Proven track record in leading complex transaction execution from start to finish
  • Demonstrated success in originating mandates and building long-term client relationships
  • Strong understanding of the financial modeling and experience in deal structuring capabilities
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think commercially and act independently
  • Advanced degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA a plus)
  • Absolutely fluent in English and Russian. Any other language is a huge plus.
