Residential Youth Care Specialist Job Title: Youth Care Specialist
Unit: PMIC
Employment Status: Full Time
Shift: 2:00PM-10:00PM, 5 Days Scheduled with 2 Days Off
Our story begins in Omaha in 1892, when, due to epidemics, poverty and the difficulties of pioneer life, many children were left in need of parental care. CSI met the need in a revolutionary way – putting the well-being of children first and working to be a voice for the voiceless. We seek to champion children and families by providing the mental, emotional and physical spaces they need to feel empowered and to thrive. We are looking for someone who has a mind full of wonder and a heart-filled desire to work with little humans! We’re on a mission to champion what’s best for each child and family.
As a Youth Care Specialist within our Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children (PMIC), you will help create a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for children and adolescents receiving the highest level of behavioral health care within our organization. In this role, you will provide direct supervision, support, and guidance to youth of varying ages while ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met. Working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, you will assist youth as they navigate the unique challenges associated with trauma, mental health concerns, and other at-risk experiences. You will promote positive behaviors, model healthy coping skills, support daily living activities, and help maintain a therapeutic milieu that fosters healing, growth, and resilience.
Success in this role requires a strong commitment to trauma-informed care principles, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with youth while maintaining appropriate boundaries and program expectations. Individuals who are compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of children and adolescents are encouraged to apply.
Be a positive influence on young lives and apply today!
