Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Website Manager to oversee the daily operation and continuous improvement of our website. The ideal candidate will ensure the site reflects our brand's values, provides a seamless user experience, and maintains high performance and security standards. The Website Manager will manage content updates, troubleshoot issues, oversee SEO strategies, and ensure domain and hosting are kept current to optimize site availability and reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily maintenance and operation of the organization's website, ensuring high performance, continuous uptime, and user-friendly navigation.
- Coordinate IT, marketing, and other team and development tasks to enhance website functionality and design.
- Respond promptly to website performance issues and security alerts, implementing solutions in a timely manner.
- Update and manage website content, including blog posts, guest articles, images, reviews, videos, and webpages, ensuring accuracy and brand alignment.
- Collaborate with content creators to develop new website content and conduct audits on existing content for quality and effectiveness.
- Lead SEO efforts to enhance the website's visibility and increase organic traffic.
- Monitor website traffic and user engagement metrics, preparing reports and analytics to guide marketing strategies.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in web design, SEO, and content management to keep the site fresh and competitive.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Website Manager or similar role in a relevant industry.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, content management systems, CSS, HTML, UX, and e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with WOO, WordPress, and Big Commerce preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in managing SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Knowledge of web analytics and experience in using analytical tools to track site performance.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving website performance issues.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a critical eye for visual and content accuracy.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, marketing, web development, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a commercial website.
