Summary

Launch a career in media production with a hands-on training at WBGU. This entry level position serves as a gateway to specialized roles within our production team, including Audio, Camera (studio configuration & hand-held), Graphics Operation, Editing, Field Production, Floor Directing, Replay, and Technical Directing. You will start with foundational training and progress toward technical proficiency in a live professional video production environment.

Essential Functions

• Attend and successfully complete all required technical training sessions held at WBGU or on-site Master and "check out" on specific production equipment to qualify for specialized crew assignments.
• Maintain professional accountability by submitting semester-long and weekly availability in accordance with production department deadlines.
• Arrive "ready to work" at all assigned Crew Calls.
• Proactive and prompt communication with Staff and Crew is required regarding shift coverage and any changes to your availability.
• Provide flexible support for miscellaneous production needs as they arise, ensuring a high-quality final video production.
• Advanced Production Support: As skills progress, you may be tapped for advanced tasks such as Directing, Producing, and Pre/Post-Production Editing.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong interest in the video production field. An understanding of audio/video production and editing process preferred.
