Job Description:

TD Securities is a leading corporate, investment and transaction bank offering a wide range of capital markets and transaction banking products and services to corporate, government, and financial institution clients. Our team operates out of 32 cities around the globe through Global Transaction Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, Global Markets and Research & Strategy services.

TD Securities has embarked on a multi-year digital transformation of the transaction banking product suite focused on building solutions for our corporate and financial institution clients at scale. The Transaction Banking Product Management team is responsible for expanding existing product capabilities with a unique opportunity to build new payments and treasury products end-to-end at enterprise scale.

Market Management partners closely with Product and Capability leads, as well as Coverage, Marketing, Communication and Corporate & Public Affairs across TD. The team plays a critical role by strengthening how TD understands the market, and helping ensure that capabilities, both existing and emerging, are consistently understood and effectively positioned in the market.

Accountabilities:

The (market titled) Vice President – Segment Lead for FI/NBFI in the Market Management team owns the end-to-end Market Management agenda for the Financial Institutions (FI) and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) vertical within Transaction Banking, including:

• Listening to client, competitor, industry, and regulatory signals;
• Identifying where Transaction Banking should lean in for the FI/NBFI segment;
• Translating insights into proactive guidance for Product and Coverage teams.

You will be accountable for creating a differentiated market presence through thought leadership, client events, conference strategy, external messaging, and brand/program management, with product, origination/coverage, marketing/communications, and senior executives.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to the following categories:

Vertical strategy and market intelligence

• Own the Market Management strategy for FI/NBFI vertical: defining target audiences, priority themes, messaging pillars, and annual goals.
• Establish a disciplined approach to listening for signals across clients, Coverage, Product, competitors, industry forums, research, and external partners.
• Develop a forward-looking view of client needs, industry shifts, competitive activity, regulatory developments.
• Align priorities across stakeholders and ensure activities align to business objectives.

Thought leadership program and market positioning

• In collaboration with the Director, Thought Leadership, set the FI/NBFI editorial agenda and lead development of content most relevant to global clients and TD’s strategic priorities.
• Partner with internal SMEs and external bodies to bring credibility and differentiated insights aligned with business strategy and client solution launches.
• Consult on RFP/RFI responses from a strategic perspective as well as actively contributing to responses from a product and market perspective.

External messaging, brand presence, and campaigns

• Help determine where and how TD should show up across conferences, sponsorships, client events, webinars, podcasts, campaigns, and other channels based on strategic fit and expected impact.
• Lead speaker and content strategy, including topic selection, abstracts, executive briefing, rehearsals, supporting materials, and follow-through into client and internal engagement.
• Coordinate with marketing, communications and public & corporate affairs teams to ensure a consistent voice across the broader enterprise for the FI/NBFI segment.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• 7+ years in transaction banking, FI coverage, payments/cash management, or adjacent institutional banking roles; or equivalent consulting/strategy experience with significant domain exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and interpret client, competitor, industry, and regulatory signals and translate them into actionable commercial recommendations.
• Strong strategic thinking and business judgment, with the ability to determine where the organization should prioritize, engage, and differentiate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and create clear, compelling narratives for different audiences.
• Strong understanding of the global FI/NBFI (payments) landscape, especially Canada and the U.S.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, comfortable with ambiguity and cross-functional execution.
