The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking General Helper (Tote washer/BOD) to work in our sanitation area in Mason- OH. Successful candidates must be willing to contribute improvements suggestions and ideas to help continue the success of our facility. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated- fast paced work environment. This position requires individuals to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Currently hiring for first shift (6am to 2pm) positions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience in a GMP/regulated industry is a plus!
• Ability to lift and carry 25 – 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to stay cool and calm under pressure and balance changing priorities with ease.
• Outstanding attendance record.
• Focus on safety with a history of practicing safe work habits.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to call out defects and adhere to Quality standards.

Starting Pay $23.17/hour

Job Overview:

Are your ready to join a high-energy- fast-paced team of dedicated operators who help to produce nearly 190 million lbs. of your favorite sauces every year? As a liquid pouch operator, you’ll be a part of a dedicated team packaging anything from mustard to relish for 1000s of consumers.

Responsibilities & Duties:

May include- but isn’t limited to:

• This occupation requires sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning, dusting, polishing, mopping, scrubbing, removing trash and other duties necessary to keep a clean environment.
• Performs janitorial/custodial duties such as cleaning and restocking locker rooms, break rooms, restrooms, outside grounds, office areas and other plant facilities
• Performs cleaning practices using cleaning chemicals; understands chemical handling procedures.
• Follows complete sanitation/custodial schedules.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and tools.
• Supports Production/Sanitation/Office Personnel as assigned.
• Embrace and support 5S philosophy. Participates on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Utilizes push broom to sweep floors and/or squeegees to push water into drain.
• Collect trash including boxes, plastic, packets, damaged material, broken skids, bag ties, and other Production items and place into dumpsters.
• Reports Maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
• Checks to see if there are dirty totes and coordinate with receiving
• Cleans totes using the proper chemicals as needed
• Maintains cleanliness of the tote cleaning room
• Reports damaged totes to lead
• Able to prepare and test cleaning chemicals for proper concentration.
• Occasionally sweeps Warehouse and removes debris.
• Occasionally utilizes electric jack – certification required, to move pallets or larger pieces of equipment around work area.
• Occasionally replaces 55-gallon drums of chemicals in C.I.P. room utilizing drum cart.
• Attend Safety meetings.
• Operates equipment in safe manner following GMP guidelines and keeps work area clean.
• Participate on the 5S process, carry out actions as outlined on the department 5S Improvement Plan. Embrace and support Continuous Improvement.
• Fills in for other positions in department as necessary.
• Handle Cleaning Chemicals according to Safe Handling Procedures.
• Ability to check BOD tankers and use proper safety equipment
• Ability to multitask while pumping BOD totes
