The Benefits and Compensation team supports the health, financial and overall well-being of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. associates across the U.S. and Canada. We partner closely with associates, HR, Payroll, and external vendors to deliver accurate benefits and compensation administration, responsive service, compliant processes and engaging health and wellness programs.

About the Role

The Total Rewards Specialist supports the day-to-day administration of WSI’s benefits, wellness and compensation programs across the U.S. and Canada. In this role, you will serve as a key resource for associates and business partners, helping resolve enrollment and eligibility issues, auditing benefits data and payroll deductions, supporting compliance and retirement plan administration, coordinating programs that promote awareness and engagement around associate well-being. The position also provides administrative support to the compensation team and may require occasional travel.

What you will do

• Administer benefits across the U.S. and Canada. Serve as an administrator and subject matter expert for medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits.
• Monitor the Benefits shared email inbox and phone support line, responding to associate questions regarding health and welfare, retirement, leave, and other company benefit programs in a timely, accurate, and customer-focused manner.
• Support annual open enrollment, including employee communications, system validation, vendor coordination, and post-enrollment audits.
• Partner with benefits vendors, brokers, consultants, and third-party administrators to ensure strong service delivery and contractual compliance.
• Conduct eligibility, enrollment, payroll deduction, compensation, and compliance audits to support data integrity, operational accuracy, and timely processing.
• Provide 401(k) and Canada RRSP support, including processing ACH requests, completing NDTs, processing corrective contributions, supporting enrollment and responding to general plan inquiries.
• Analyze benefit utilization, enrollment trends, employee feedback, and HR metrics to recommend program improvements.
• Support wellness, well-being, and employee recognition initiatives that strengthen engagement and retention.
• Provide analytical and administrative support for compensation programs, including merit cycles, promotional increases, salary adjustments, benchmarking, and pay analysis.

What you will bring

• Experience supporting employee benefits, total rewards, HR operations or a related function, with a strong understanding of benefits administration and associate service.
• Working knowledge of health and welfare benefits, retirement plans and common benefits compliance processes, with the ability to follow established requirements and escalate complex issues appropriately.
• Strong data validation and reconciliation skills, including experience working with HRIS, payroll, eligibility files, vendor feeds and Excel-based audits.
• Excellent attention to detail and sound judgment when handling confidential associate information, payroll deductions, eligibility records and compliance documentation.
• Clear, responsive communication and a service-oriented approach to working with associates, HR, Payroll, BSC partners, vendors and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage shared inboxes, documentation, Open Enrollment activities, annual merit cycles, wellness events, invoicing support and multiple deadlines at once.
