Position Summary

The vision of the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP) is to be a leader in university-based induction support through the belief in and practice of transformative, intentional coaching to increase student achievement by improving beginning teacher effectiveness and retention. The mission of the NC NTSP is to support beginning teachers through consistent, individualized, in-the-moment coaching aligned to individualized growth and personalized professional development.

The primary role of the NC NTSP Part-Time Instructional Coach position is to support beginning teachers through the delivery of the program’s three core services:

• professional learning institute,
• individualized instructional coaching, and
• aligned professional development.

This is a part-time, stated-definite term, non-faculty position in the UNC -General Assembly New Teacher Mentoring Project administered by the College of Education at East Carolina University. This position includes travel. Required approved travel is reimbursed per NTSP policies.

Schedule will be determined between the employee and supervisor and based on the needs of the role.
