The Process Technician supports the Training Manager in executing the plant’s job certification and process training programs. This position is responsible for researching, documenting, and delivering task-specific training to plant operators, ensuring that standard operating procedures are accurate, effective, and consistently applied. The Process Technician also plays a key role in process improvement and problem-solving initiatives within the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to document detailed process procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email, and electronic file management systems.
• Solid math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, ratios, and interpret charts or graphs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Ability to analyze process data and recommend improvements.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Equivalent experience in training, technical writing, food production, or military service may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Experience in manufacturing or process operations is preferred. Proven experience delivering hands-on job-task training in an industrial or production setting.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand on concrete floors for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds over a distance of at least 50 feet.
• Must be able to work in refrigerated environments (approximately 50°F) for up to 4 hours at a time.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

Work is performed primarily in a food manufacturing facility, which may include exposure to cold temperatures, wet conditions, and moderate noise levels. Proper PPE must be worn at all times, including safety shoes, hairnets, gloves, hearing protection, and any other equipment as required by plant safety protocols. Occasional office work will be required for documentation and training preparation.

NOTE: This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
