About the Company Hiring:

Our client is a growing healthcare organization seeking a Tax Accountant to join its accounting team. This role will support tax compliance, reporting, planning, and process improvement across a multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare multi-state sales and use tax, property tax, gross receipts, business license, and other state and local tax filings.
• Assist with federal and state income tax compliance, workpapers, and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts and research tax discrepancies.
• Respond to tax notices and assist with audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Support tax planning, acquisitions, entity formations, and other strategic initiatives.
• Research state and local tax laws and identify opportunities for process improvement and tax savings.
• Maintain tax registrations, compliance calendars, exemption certificates, and audit-ready documentation.
• Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and external tax advisors on tax-related matters.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
• 3+ years of tax, accounting, or public accounting experience.
• Experience with sales and use tax and other state and local tax compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or tax compliance systems.
• CPA, CPA candidate, EA, or CMI certification preferred.
• Healthcare, pharmacy, retail, or multi-location experience is a plus.

Compensation:

$90,000 - $110,000 base salary plus bonus
