Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead all functional procurement and supply chain activities for assigned projects. This role is responsible for developing and executing project supply chain strategies, managing project procurement teams, overseeing buy-out activities, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required to support project objectives.

The Supply Chain Manager serves as a key leader within project teams, driving procurement execution, managing project budgets, mitigating supply chain risks, and building strategic supplier relationships. This position works closely with project management, engineering, construction, logistics, legal, and finance teams to deliver high-quality supply chain outcomes that support project success.

District Overview

Kiewit Supply Network specializes in providing comprehensive procurement services to clients across the construction and engineering industries in multiple markets, including transportation; water/wastewater; power; oil, gas and chemical; building and mining. Our key objectives are to offer clients a world-class service that ensures equipment, materials and services are consistently estimated and procured at the right price and delivered on schedule.

Location

This position is based out of our Lone Tree, CO office.

Responsibilities

• Lead all project supply chain and procurement activities from project kickoff through project closeout.
• Develop and execute project-specific supply chain execution plans, procurement strategies, and sourcing approaches aligned with project objectives.
• Manage the procurement of engineered equipment, bulk materials, subcontracted services, professional services, and construction commodities.
• Oversee project buy-out activities to ensure materials and services are procured competitively and in accordance with project schedules and budgets.
• Lead critical commercial negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers while minimizing project and company risk.
• Develop, evaluate, and implement risk mitigation strategies related to supplier performance, material availability, logistics, market conditions, and contract exposure.
• Monitor and control project supply chain budgets, including procurement expenditures, staff resources, forecasts, and overall buy-out performance.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, estimating, legal, and construction teams to align procurement activities with project milestones and execution needs.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to support project delivery and long-term business objectives.
• Resolve complex supplier, contract, and commercial issues while ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
• Oversee daily workflow, work assignments, priorities, and schedules for assigned supply chain personnel.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities for supply chain team members.
• Conduct resource planning and staffing forecasts to support current and future project needs.
• Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
• Ensure procurement activities are executed safely, ethically, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, contract administration, or construction-related supply chain functions.
• Minimum 3+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing project teams or functional supply chain personnel.
• Experience supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success developing procurement strategies, managing project buy-outs, and leading supplier negotiations.
• Strong understanding of procurement, contracts, logistics, supplier management, risk management, and project execution principles.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, schedules, and competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and ERP/procurement systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required in support of project execution.

Base Compensation:

$111,936/yr - $160,785/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
