Essential Functions:

• Provides day-to-day work direction for direct report(s), focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.
• Understands leadership approaches and has practical knowledge of Operations (Quality/Production Control/Manufacturing/Test/Engineering).
• Provides input on hiring, termination, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisions for direct report(s). Reports to Assoc. Manager or higher.
• Communicate with parties inside and outside of own team to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures for the area of responsibility.
• Adjusts procedures and processes. Plans and establish operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results.
• Makes adjustments in procedures and processes to solve problems.
• Identifies, defines, and addresses general problems that are typically within the immediate job area or team.
• Assigns tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc.
• May manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., costs associated with maintaining area supplies and overtime of staff).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Understands supervisory approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution.
• Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline.
• Applicable manufacturing or engineering experience preferred.
