Summary

The Strategic Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with strategically important large customers. They are responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management to achieve sales, profit and strategic objectives.
• Establish a productive, professional relationships with the Account’s key corporate personnel.
• Point Person in field relationships with the Account’s regional management and staff.
• Create internal personnel and resource relationships to meet Account objectives and expectations.
• Evaluate, prepare and deliver Account opportunities within product, pricing, logistics and promotions.
• Analyze, comprehend and report on competitive intelligence for Account strategy development.
• Lead in development, launch and manage Account promotions, educational seminars, experiential events and market specific activations.
• Responsible for preparation, auditing and dialogue with Account to generate production forecasts.
• Coordinate with respective Inventory and Logistics departments to assure proper product availability.
• Management of operating accruals and expenses to ensure proper use of budgeted funds.
• Meet regularly with internal stakeholders to report and interact on Account performance and strategy.
• Other tasks as requested by Zone Director or Corporate Staff.

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Social Media savvy.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years in tire industry - Consumer background preferred.
• Historical progression of success in Account Management and/or Marketing assignments.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for prolonged periods of time while driving a vehicle or working on a computer.
• Event support such as Rid and Drive and trade-shows, including assisting with event set-up and take-down.
• Employees must possess the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull and move materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to remain standing or moving on feet for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
