The Deputy Director, Aerospace & Defense End Market will serve as a senior business development and market growth leader responsible for expanding the company's presence across aerospace, defense, space, national security, and critical infrastructure markets.
Reporting to the Senior Director, head of the Aerospace & Defense End Market, this individual will focus on identifying, developing, and capturing strategic business opportunities while building deep relationships across the Aerospace & Defense ecosystem. The successful candidate will leverage an extensive professional network to drive customer engagement, create new revenue opportunities, influence technology roadmaps, and support long-term growth objectives.
This role requires an individual who combines strong market knowledge, executive relationship-building capabilities, and business development expertise with a solid understanding of semiconductor and microelectronics technologies. While technical acumen is important, the primary emphasis of this position is opportunity creation, customer engagement, strategic partnerships, and business growth.
The position will be based in Santa Clara, California and will primarily support business growth across the Western United States and key innovation hubs. The scope of responsibility is not limited to the West Coast and includes support for strategic customers, government stakeholders, and partners throughout North America and allied international markets.
Establish and maintain relationships across:
Represent the company at customer meetings, industry conferences, trade associations, government forums, and technical events.
Develop thought leadership and market visibility for the company within the Aerospace & Defense community.
Build strategic partnerships that accelerate market adoption and revenue growth.
Understand market dynamics and evolving requirements across land, air, sea, cyber, and space applications.
Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, government investment priorities, and emerging technology disruptions.
Help define segment growth plans, market priorities, and investment recommendations.
Support annual strategic planning and operating plan development.
Translate customer requirements into actionable technology, product, packaging, and service opportunities.
Partner with Product Management and Technology Development teams to align roadmaps with Aerospace & Defense market needs.
Provide customer and market feedback to influence future investments and product differentiation.
Support positioning of strategic technologies including:
Support engagement with government agencies, laboratories, public-private partnerships, and strategic industrial base initiatives.
Monitor relevant government investments and initiatives impacting domestic microelectronics and aerospace and defense markets.
Identify and help shape participation in strategic government-funded programs and partnerships.
Lead cross-functional teams supporting strategic opportunities and major customer pursuits.
Coordinate efforts across Sales, Product Management, Technology Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership.
Mentor team members and contribute to development of Aerospace & Defense market strategies and customer engagements.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Approximately 25% travel.
Frequent travel throughout the Western United States.
Regular travel to customer sites, government stakeholders, industry events, and company locations.
Occasional domestic and international travel as business needs require.

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
